Still trying to figure out what the final setup will be… I will maybe change some stuff for blendshapes or add correctives but I wanted to show the “just joints result”. I like the integration and all the customization that can be done when using just joints and also that all the little controls follow the system perfectly by default (no need to add extra “follow mesh” stuff for each control), but I still think that blendshapes for the mouth corners gives you a smoother transition for different muscles and a better appeal, I also think that blendshapes give you a nice pose faster with just one movement instead of moving a lot of things around, and it is also easier to do. I tested to use only joints and bezier curves on this face and it went well. I’ve been doing freelance rigs or teaching on my free time but I am finally working on something mine and I will try to do it more this year :) 45 Year Old Male Rigged Heads Collection model.fbx.
